“I stared at Lucky expectantly, wondering where she was taking us.
“Nowhere else.” She grinned back at me and I studied her face in confusion. Did she have pregnancy brain again? I paused before I spoke up again as I had a feeling that she didn’t appreciate me making comments that referenced her brain in a derogatory fashion.
“Uhm, okay. Did we get our wires crossed?”
“What do you mean?”
“I thought we were going to go and have some nookie somewhere.” I shrugged. “Maybe I misunder...stood.”
“No, you got it right.”
“Uh, okay. So where are we going?”
“We’re here.” She smiled again.
“We are?” I looked around the empty parking lot and frowned. “You wanna do it on the concrete?” I raised an eyebrow at her. “I don’t have a blanket or anything you know, I don’t know how comfortable that will be.”MoreLess
