Kate Madeleine Bottomley, nee Barry (1865-? ) was a Canadian novelist and essayist who also wrote under the pseudonym Vera. She published Honor Edgeworth; or, Ottawa's Present Tense in 1882 and The Doctor's Daughter in 1885: both depicted certain phases of social life and character at the Canadian capital. In 1896 she published Catharine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy.
