“She felt anything but hopeful right now. Lying in bed, next to her dying boyfriend, with two of her other friends waiting to die in the bedroom next door, seemed like pretty much the opposite of hope to her. She had tried to sleep as much as possible, just to block out the nightmare unfolding before her eyes.
