William West Winter (1881-1940) was a novelist and short story writer. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and died in Rutland, Massachusetts. He wrote several short stories in The Popular Magazine, Argosy All- Story Weekly, Short Stories and The Saturday Evening Post. His works include: Louisiana Lou: A Western Story (1922), Quemado: A Western Story (1923), Millions in Motors: A Big Business Story (1924), The Boss of Eagle's Nest: A Western Story (1925) and The Lone-Hand Tracker (1926).
