Downgraded from 10 to 7 stars after a reread. (MAY 2017)
Another fantastic romance from Lisa Kleypas! I really love Lisa Kleypas's Wallflower series. I like the idea of these 4 women bonding over a common misery and turning each of their lives into something wonderful as a result. Women can be very powerful when working together rather than against each other, and I like that this theme was evident through the entire series.
I loved reading about Lillian and Westcliff in Secrets of a Summer
Night, their squabbling and bickering. But Lillian in this book came across more like a brat, rather than a grown woman. She did what she wanted, whenever she wanted, she did things out of spite, and it's very hard to like someone who behaves the way Lillian did.
Also it is good to see the rest of the Wallflowers and keep up with their stories. I love when an author intertwines stories so seamlessly. So, annoying heroine aside, I devoured this book in a day and I was entertained. Not everyone can pull this off, but Lisa Kleypas did an amazing job and I can't wait to reread the next book in series (it's my absolute favorite).
