Edward Lytton Wheeler (1854-1885) was an American author. He was the creator of the adventures of Deadwood Dick series. He was born in Avoca, New York. In 1877 his first novelette Hurricane Nell: The Girl Dead-Shot; or, The Queen of the Saddle and Lasso was published as No. 1 of Starr's Ten Cent Pocket Library.
